Mission Opportunities and Updates
-- Pat Gibbons
I want to build a house, so Mom and her kids can have a safe, warm comfortable place to make their home by filling it with love. Here is my idea:
It’s a Habitat for Humanity house that Trinity can build, working together with other presbyterian churches in the sponsoring group WCC Presbyterian Churches (WCC stands for We Construct Community). It will be in Carondelet, house H2 at 6721 Pennsylvania.
To shoulder Trinity’s share of the work, we must first raise money to pay to Habitat for our share of the sponsorship, $5,000 like we gave last year at least, or better still, the $10,000 that we contributed two and three years ago. Trinity will match new money contributed up to a maximum of $500.
Please consider giving generously. Make checks payable to Trinity Presbyterian Church and write “Habitat” in large letters on the memo line.
In addition to monetary donations, we need workers! Sign up in the Narthex before or after worship to work on the house build during a weekend or two (or more!) April through September. Just look at the fun that Trinity members and friends are already having!
